Brian's particular expertise is in working at the strategic level with multiple stakeholders across business, industry and government to design and catalyse breakthrough change.

He has a deep understanding and practical experience of change processes, industry associations, agriculture and innovation (across research and development, product development, value chain, business models, policy advocacy and consumer marketing).

 

 

Brian’s experience is unique in having worked as a CEO with strategic and operational responsibility for achieving transformational structural change (to establish Australian Pork Ltd) and now as the founding director of Inovact Consulting he advises leaders on how to successfully design and implement new and workable market-facing strategies and structures that produce dramatic improvement in business results.

 

He offers clients a depth of experience in evaluation methodology and its application, having led ground breaking evaluations of natural resource management, water and agricultural industry programs at international, national, state/territory and regional levels. His work extends to evaluations of complex intergovernmental agreements such as the National Water Initiative.

  • Cattle Council of Australia—strategic adviser in planning, positioning and development of the $11 billion grass fed Beef Industry Strategic Plan, to define priorities and direct industry resources to influence the future of the industry (2012)
  • National Water Commission—designed the framework and conducted three evaluations of the $250m Raising National Water Standards Program (2009-12)
  • Third Australian Cotton Industry Environmental Assessment (2012)
  • Caring for our Country—evaluated the effectiveness of the $52m investment in Weeds of National Significance Management Activities (2012)
